He has Risen!

He has Risen Indeed!  Alleluia!!  We just spent an amazing Easter celebration.  Here are a few highlights.

Collin's first time dying Easter eggs.  He LOVED it!

Such concentration

Fun Glasses from Grandma and Grandpa

Steve was trying to teach the kids how to do a push up, then Collin climbed on.

Then they all climbed on, and Steve did a push up with all 3 of them on his back!

The Saturday before Easter we went to our local greenhouse where they have an egg hunt.

Collin tired to open every egg.

Then he realized they were empty.  He was NOT happy.  (they give you the candy when you turn in the empty eggs)

The Easter bunny left Isaiah a new chair for his room. They tried it out together.

Then these 2 goofballs tried it!  Collin had more candy than I realized at this point, and he didn't slow down.  And it was all before 7 am!

Our goofy picture

A nicer picture.  Again, Collin was on a sugar high so he was pretty goofy in all the pictures!!

After naps we went out to hunt for our eggs.

Collin is looking for an egg.  He honestly could not see the pink one in the bush!!

Oh, there it is!

We had a pretty tall Easter bunny this year, who hid the eggs in really hard places!

We had a blast celebrating our risen Lord.  As I was putting Collin to sleep last night, he recounted the Holy Week for me.  (add a whole bunch of stutters in here)....

Mom, Jesus had his last meal with his friends, then one growled at him.  Then they threw rocks at Jesus and he had owies on his forehead.  Jesus died on the cross.  Mom, why Jesus die on the cross?  Me:  Because he loves you.  Yeah, and Jesus had his last meal with his friends......repeat....

I am amazed at the knowledge this little bugger picks up on, however we talked about this story A LOT during Holy Week.  The kids were so interested and I was more than happy to discuss it.

We hope your Easter was as blessed as ours was.

About time

I know that is what you are thinking, right?  It's about time for an update!  Well, here goes!

Way back in February, we took the kids on an overnight stay to a water park.  This hotel room had a bunk bed!  We thought the it would be a great feature, and we thought that we would let Brielle sleep on the top, since the boys have a bunk bed at home. However she wanted to sleep with her Daddy. Collin decided he wanted to sleep on the top, which worked until the lights went out.  Then he FREAKED out!  So finally Isaiah ended up in the bunk, Collin with me, and Brielle with Steve.  Whew!

Collin decided to bring his stuffed animal friends to the table and read them all a story.

We celebrated Steve's birthday in March.  The kids were very excited to make and bring Daddy his breakfast.

He of course was very excited!

His cake was dictated by the kiddos.  They requested a tied dyed cake inside and muti-colored outside.

We also went to our church's annual Easter Eggstravaganza.  Brielle had a blast making crafts!

They also enjoyed decorating cookies!!

He had an amazing time with the sprinkles!!!

Annual "buckets on the head" picture!

February and March were good to us.  Stay tuned for more updates!
