Easter Part 2

He has Risen! He has Risen indeed, Alleluia! You all (hopefully) heard this a million times this morning in worship. I actually wanted to count how many times we did say it, but I would have lost track! What a wonderful thing!

So far the day has been nothing short of spectacular. We woke up early, got ready for church and made it on time! I should back up to say that we usually don't go to 8:00 church because it is such a rush to get there, but today it was the service to we chose. As I felt like I had just run a marathon, we whisked into church. Steve needed to tie Isaiah's tie, because I made it too short just to slip over his big ol' head. He was still working on it as the sanctuary was filling up so Brielle and I headed in to get seats...way in front. The service was beautiful with a surprise visit from Simon Peter (aka Steve).

After service we tried to get a nice picture of the kids, but Isaiah was really NOT cooperating. I even bribed him with chocolate!!! We took 8 pictures, and this is the best we could do...

When we got home we tried again....again, not super successful

After we took some pictures we headed down the hall at church to have breakfast. Since the kids had their breakfast during church, and I did promise them chocolate, that is what they ate!

After we stopped to see Daddy again, we headed home to make our Easter lunch, which neither of the kids really ate. Can you blame them? They were full of that huge chocolate bunny!!!!

We are off to have desert at a friend's house and then home to see what the Easter bunny brought and possibly have an egg hunt. Maybe we can still get to work digging out those nasty Hosta plants. Well, there's always tomorrow for that!

I hope that your Easter is full of F's...faith, family, and fun!

Here are some more Easter pictures...

Easter Fun...part one

So far we have had a couple of events leading up to Easter. At church, we had a family fun day called "Easter Eggstravaganza", which was last Saturday. Then just this morning we dyed Easter eggs. It was a weird kit where you could choose to sponge paint the eggs or place them in the regular dye. Isaiah chose to just regular dye his, while Brielle had a BLAST sponge painting hers. She even tried to taste it...yuk. I hope that all of the color comes off of them by Sunday!!!

Brielle had discovered the joy of picture taking. Up until now, she has not liked her picture being taken. Now she enjoys saying, "cheese" and making a weird face. She has also started to cross her eyes. Again...weird! She likes giving kisses, on her own terms, and being silly. She is currently getting 2-4 new teeth, but taking it like a champ!

The last 2 pictures were taken on Palm Sunday. She just looked too cute not to take a picture! I could just look at that face all day!

Isaiah has been sleeping better, thank God! In fact last night he didn't get up once! We have started potty training at night when he does wake up and I think that was most of the problem. At least it has been working for now!
His new phrase is, "Oh Snap" and he knows how to use it. He is just a funny little kid. He is also the sweetest boy that I know. He is really into asking if we can lay with him when he gets into bed at nap time or night time. Sometimes I do and he usually puts his sweet little arm around my neck and tells me that he loves me. Sometimes he plays with my hair or pats my back, but either way it's sweet. He knows how to make my heart melt, and I eat it up!

We spent most of our time at the Easter church event at the cookie decorating table. Our kids sure do love their cookies!!!
