What?!?!

What?!?!  More rain?  "What" is one of Brielle's favorite things to say and it can definitely be applied to this weather!  I know, I know, at least we just have rain.  I've gotta tell ya, I am running out of rainy day activities!

Earlier this week we had balloon races.  Now that we have a crawler, the big kids are learning how to adjust!  Collin kept chasing after Brielle's balloon.

I am a little late with the post, but Collin turned 9 months old last Saturday.

There were a few moments when the rain stopped, so we enjoyed them outside.

I dropped Isaiah off at school one morning, and when I came back I found that "Daddy did my hair"! She was very excited about her "crazy hair" and wore it proudly all day.....even to the grocery store.

Thursday was a very busy day!  Collin had his first haircut!

The Before

I just can't believe how different he looks, so grown up!

It also stopped raining long enough for us to rake the lawn.  Today however, it was snowing.  Actually it was a really weird day, it would blizzard for a few minutes then the sun would pop out.  A little while later another blizzard.  Thank goodness nothing accumulated!

I will leave you with my new favorite picture of my loves.......(OK 2 pictures)

Just Crawling Along

It's official...we have a crawler in our house!  Collin finally figured out how to do it!  While I was encouraging him, I was thinking to myself, "what am I doing?".  Really?  I want him to be mobile?   I really don't, but I knew it was going to happen and he is really enjoying going places.  He has also figured out how to open his dresser drawers.  And now it begins.....*sigh*

I finally took the after picture of our bathroom "remodel".  It is totally done except for a new shower curtain, rug and wall hangings.  (the pictures make the blue walls look really awful too....they really aren't that color!)

the "before"

We also had a few days where it felt like spring, so we enjoyed them while they lasted.  We have been lucky and haven't gotten any snow, just 5 days of rain for us!

Who doesn't play outside in a fedora hat?

It's just such a dreary day/week, I think I must go now and take a nap.

Busy enough yet?

We didn't think that we were busy enough caring for 3 kids 4 and under, working 60 hour weeks, having fun and lots of other stuff.  So we decided to redo our main floor bathroom.  But before we decided on the type of flooring that we wanted, we decided to "try" it in our master bath since it is a smaller space.

Redoing a floor....sounds easy right?  Well....yes.  It wasn't really hard, but with a husband who works odd hours and a 4 year old who sleeps in our master closet, there aren't a lot of hours to work on it.  So after a week and a half of a non working bathroom we, sort of, have it back!   I would love to post the before and after but as I write, the 4 year old is napping.  Here is the before though.

Yesterday we had a church event for our young adult group, where we went ice skating.  Yes, I know, it finally gets nice out and we go inside to ice skate.  But we had the whole rink to ourselves!  We had about 50 some people there and it really was a blast!  Our kids were on the ice for the first time ever!  They did not have skates small enough for Brielle, so she just wore her shoes, but she got the idea and footwork down.  It was also fun to see Steve on skates for the second time ever too!

 Such form!

They even pulled the zamboni out for pictures!  Note how happy our children look to be on a zamboni!

At the very end Isaiah was skating without the walker and just with Mommy and Daddy!  We were so proud of him!

We had a great morning, but I am so sore today.  Mainly my neck and back from leaning over and pushing the walkers with the kids!  It was worth it though!  We were very proud of both of the kids for trying!  (and liking it!)

He Has Risen!

Happy Easter!

We have had such an enjoyable Easter season this year!  We were blessed with a visit from my (Calie's) Mom for the whole weekend.  The kids ate up the Grandma time and I ate up Mom time.  It was also nice to be one - on -one with our children at times!  Steve and I were finally not out numbered!

Grandma and I took the kids to their 2nd Easter egg hunt of the year.  They really got into the hunt!  It took place in our local greenhouse, which was perfect since it was windy and cold outside!

The eggs were all empty and "hidden" everywhere....actually the workers couldn't seem to keep up and ended up dumping most of the eggs on the floor in various locations.  The kids never seemed to catch on though.  At the end of the hunt, you turned your eggs in for a bag of sweets.

A few days before Easter we discovered we had the Easter bunny living in our yard.  We enjoyed spending countless minutes watching the bunny and talking about bunnies.

This picture was taken from our living room window.

I just can't resist posting pictures of this guy!  I can never choose the "cutest"one either, so here are a few....

After naps, we realized that the Easter bunny had hidden eggs at our house.  In fact, they were hidden so well that 2 eggs couldn't be found.  Dad was sure he "read" the note about where they were hidden right, but obviously not!  One must have been hidden in the car wheel and the kids found the other one when we were outside playing.  (I discovered they found it when they tried to talk to me but their mouths were too full of jellybeans!)

Checking out the loot

So as you can see, we had a blessed Easter!
