Them Apples

With the start of school, the falling of leaves in our yard, and the kickoff of football it has become very evident that summer is gone and fall is here.  So we set out on a Saturday in September for one of our favorite family things to do this time of the year--apple picking.  Though we found limited apple guts on the ground this year, we did find plenty of mosquitoes so we probably set a new speed record for picking apples this year... and believe me we certainly got enough of them.  Guess it's time for the pies, apple bars, and apple sauce!

Dad being a bully and lifting the branch every time Isaiah tried to grab an apple.

Checking out a fuzzy caterpillar friend.

Each apple went through a careful and thorough evaluation (and tasting) process.  Only the best for us.

Getting  a boost for all the juicy red apples at the top!

Oh the happy couple!

Aside from the mosquitoes, we had a perfect day.  Weather was beautiful!

We are totes adorbs :)

Who needs a smartphone to take selfies?  Not this family!
